2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Costs Less Than $100 Per HP

Following a debut of the muscle sedan in July, the automaker now announces that the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye starts at $78,595 (plus a $1,495 destination charge). Dealers can place orders starting in September, but deliveries begin until early 2021.
The Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye packs a version of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 making 797 horsepower (594 kilowatts) and 707 pound-feet (959 Newton-meters) of torque. This ample power lets the sedan reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in the mid-3-second range and reach a top speed of 203 mph (327 kph). The company also says the four-door can cover the quarter-mile in a scant 10.6 seconds.
To be capable of this output, the engine uses parts from the Challenger SRT Demon like stronger internal components and an upgraded valvetrain. It also has the Power Chiller that uses the air conditioner refrigerant to lower intake air temperatures.
The Redeye’s drivetrain includes an eight-speed automatic with an upgraded torque converter. It sends the power through a high-strength steel prop shafts and 41-spline half shafts.

The Redeye’s body gains a hood with a functional scoop and additional vents. This piece is also on the 2021 Charger Hellcat. It rides 20-inch wheels with Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires. All-season rubber comes standard, but customers can also opt for three-season tires.
Elsewhere in the Charger lineup, the GT AWD gets standard 20-inch wheels in a Satin Carbon finish, and they’re optional on the SXT AWD. Opting for the Blacktop Package changes their color to Black Noise.
